Creditors and Debt recovery

I think most of you folks are either creditors seeking to enforce a judgment you may already have, or if you’re wondering whether or not you want to pursue a debt that you’re entitled to collect i.e. debt collection and debt recovery. I hope that we can give you the information to help guide you in making that decision and determining whether it’s a worthwhile cost for you.

As you can see, initially in the outline I have distinguished between written contracts and verbal contracts. The general rule of thumb is an oral contract is enforceable. There are eight exceptions in debt collection and debt recovery where you must have a written contract. Most of these won’t necessarily apply to your situation, but I did outline them here. I don’t want to belabor that point of debt collection, but I did want to briefly outline what contracts are required to be written in order to be enforceable.
